Cashier Assistant
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑orientated Cashier Assistant to join our Finance team. No previous cashiering experience is required, and full training will be provided.
Working within a supportive team of six, you’ll develop essential skills in financial administration, compliance and internal processes. This role is perfect for someone starting their career or looking to gain experience in a busy professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities
You will be fully trained to carry out a wide range of tasks, including: Allocating, checking and posting incoming receipts into office and client accounts Processing transactions for deputyship accounts Recording and allocating cheques Managing client‑to‑office transfers Processing cheque requests in line with bank mandates Requesting and managing precision pay cards Entering disbursements and expenses into the accounts payable system Reviewing and reallocating pending disbursements Coordinating internal post Maintaining electronic and hard‑copy filing systems Archiving and general administrative support Completing interest calculations Managing file closure alerts

What We’re Looking For
You don’t need prior experience, just the right attitude and willingness to learn. We’re looking for someone who demonstrates:
GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) Excellent attention to detail and organisation Ability to prioritise in a busy environment A calm, reliable and proactive approach Good communication skills, both written and verbal A positive attitude and strong team spirit Basic to intermediate knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel Awareness of confidentiality and data protection (training will be provided)
