About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-orientated Cashier Assistant to join our Finance team. No previous cashiering experience is required, and full training will be provided.
Working within a supportive team of six, you’ll develop essential skills in financial administration, compliance, and internal processes. This role is perfect for someone starting their career or looking to gain experience in a busy professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities
You will be fully trained to carry out a wide range of tasks, including:
- Allocating, checking, and posting incoming receipts into office and client accounts
- Processing transactions for deputyship accounts
- Recording and allocating cheques
- Managing client-to-office transfers
- Processing cheque requests in line with bank mandates
- Requesting and managing precision pay cards
- Entering disbursements and expenses into the accounts payable system
- Reviewing and reallocating pending disbursements
- Coordinating internal post
- Maintaining electronic and hard-copy filing systems
- Archiving and general administrative support
- Completing interest calculations
- Managing file closure alerts

What We’re Looking For
You don’t need prior experience, just the right attitude and willingness to learn. We’re looking for someone who demonstrates:
- GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
- Excellent attention to detail and organization
- Ability to prioritize in a busy environment
- A calm, reliable, and proactive approach
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- A positive attitude and strong team spirit
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Awareness of confidentiality and data protection (training will be provided)
