About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-orientated Cashier Assistant to join our Finance team. No previous cashiering experience is required, and full training will be provided.

Working within a supportive team of six, you’ll develop essential skills in financial administration, compliance, and internal processes. This role is perfect for someone starting their career or looking to gain experience in a busy professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities

You will be fully trained to carry out a wide range of tasks, including:

  • Allocating, checking, and posting incoming receipts into office and client accounts
  • Processing transactions for deputyship accounts
  • Recording and allocating cheques
  • Managing client-to-office transfers
  • Processing cheque requests in line with bank mandates
  • Requesting and managing precision pay cards
  • Entering disbursements and expenses into the accounts payable system
  • Reviewing and reallocating pending disbursements
  • Coordinating internal post
  • Maintaining electronic and hard-copy filing systems
  • Archiving and general administrative support
  • Completing interest calculations
  • Managing file closure alerts

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need prior experience, just the right attitude and willingness to learn. We’re looking for someone who demonstrates:

  • GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to prioritize in a busy environment
  • A calm, reliable, and proactive approach
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A positive attitude and strong team spirit
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Awareness of confidentiality and data protection (training will be provided)
