Position: Cashier Lead

Location: Birmingham Shuttlesworth Airport

Address: 5900 Messer Airport Highway

Shift: Shifts will vary

Pay rate: $16/hr

The Cashier Lead supports daily cashier operations by ensuring accurate cash handling, excellent guest service, and adherence to company standards. This role serves as a point of support for cashier team members, helps maintain smooth shift operations, and leads by example through professionalism, accuracy, and customer-focused service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately process cash, credit card, and other payment transactions
  • Maintain an organized cash drawer and ticket supplies at all times
  • Prepare cash control logs and summary sheets neatly and accurately
  • Report all cash overages and shortages promptly to management
  • Ensure adequate change is available throughout the shift
  • Complete shift and daily reconciliations of receipts, cash, and charges
  • Perform revenue drops according to location-specific procedures
  • Secure all funds and control documents in deposit bags prior to deposit
  • Greet and depart guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by remaining pleasant, helpful, and solution-oriented
  • Assist with resolving customer complaints and escalate concerns when appropriate
  • Answer guest questions and provide clear information regarding parking procedures
  • Communicate respectfully and professionally with guests, clients, and teammates
  • Assist guests entering and exiting the property
  • Answer telephone calls promptly and courteously, when required
  • Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for cashier team members during assigned shifts
  • Support new and existing cashiers by reinforcing proper cash-handling and guest service procedures
  • Lead by example by demonstrating accuracy, professionalism, and policy compliance
  • Communicate operational issues or recurring concerns to management
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe cashier booth and surrounding work area
  • Clean and organize the booth interior and windows
  • Ensure signage and equipment are clean and free of vandalism or graffiti
  • Walk the parking facility to remove trash and replace garbage liners as needed
  • Ensure supplies are stocked, properly stacked, and organized
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment at all times
  • Lock windows and doors and secure cash if leaving the booth for any reason
  • Report all accidents, incidents, suspicious activity, or safety concerns immediately
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Follow Reimagined Parking dress code and grooming standards
  • Ensure punctuality and accurate timecard punches at the start and end of each shift

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and teammates
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic math and cash-handling proficiency
  • Ability to learn quickly and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous cash-handling experience required
  • Prior customer service experience preferred
  • Informal leadership or “go-to” experience is an asset

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must successfully pass a background check, in accordance with company policy and applicable laws
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to provide documentation verifying eligibility, as required by the Department of Homeland Security. Reimagined Parking participates in the E‑Verify program to confirm employment eligibility.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Frequent use of hands for handling cash, tickets, and operating equipment
  • Ability to bend, reach, twist, and perform light cleaning duties
  • Ability to lift and/or move items up to approximately 25 pounds (e.g., supplies or trash bags)
  • Visual acuity sufficient to read tickets, screens, and signage
  • Ability to hear and communicate effectively with guests and team members

Working Conditions

  • Work is primarily performed in a cashier booth and/or outdoor parking environment
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions, including heat, humidity, rain, and cold
  • May work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs
  • Potential exposure to vehicle exhaust, traffic noise, and parking equipment
  • Fast-paced, customer-facing environment requiring professionalism at all times
