Part-Time Cashier – St. Mary’s College of Maryland
Location: St. Mary’s College of Maryland – 16800 Point Lookout Road, Saint Mary's City, MD 20686 (Note: online applications accepted only)
Schedule:
- Part-time, Monday to Wednesday, 5:00 PM – 12:00 AM
- Additional details provided upon interview
Preferred: Previous food service experience (willing to train)
About the Role
Bon Appetit seeks part-time cashiers to assist in maintaining our café’s operations. In this role, you’ll handle transactions, ensure cleanliness, and provide exceptional customer service while working within a collaborative and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities

Sales & Transactions:
- Complete sales transactions in a timely manner
- Enter all sales into the cash register with accuracy
- Process payments (cash, cards) and issue receipts
- Follow cash refund procedures and customer complaint resolutions with a service-oriented mindset

Cash & Inventory Management:
- Monitor assigned change funds and cash receipts, maintaining compliance with over-/underage standards
- Ensure pastry display and dining areas remain well-stocked and clean
- Replenish beverages, condiments, and consumables while upholding hygiene standards

- Adhere to ServSafe, safety, and sanitation protocols
- Represent company standards for food/service quality and inventory control

General Duties:
- Open and close cash registers if assigned
- Perform other duties as needed by management
Fixed Pay Rate
$15.61 per hour (Internal employee referral bonus available!)
