About The Role
Following the recent announcement of the launch of our Disney Store retail destination inside Selfridges, Manchester Trafford store, we are seeking a Cast Member who will:
- Engage guests in magical, storytelling experiences
- Deliver exceptional service that exceeds expectations
- Present innovative, quality Disney Store products
- Maintain brand integrity through grooming standards
This 12-month fixed-term position targets a mid-July launch, building upon our heritage presence within Selfridges London and Oxford Street’s flagship store.
Core Responsibilities
Show Sales
- Uphold Disney brand standards in all interactions and displays
- Maintain a neat, organised retail environment—both on-stage and back-stage—ensuring products are visible and restocked efficiently
- Implement and participate in maintaining visual brand standards
- Ensure new products are immediately available for guest interaction
- Assist with deliveries, replenishment, markdown operations, and seasonal set-ups
- Meet financial and efficiency goals through proactive Guest Service delivery
- Prioritise tasks and manage time effectively

Service Contribution
- Foster guest loyalty through deep product knowledge and outstanding attention
- Deliver friendly, accurate, and efficient service tailored to individual needs
- Storytelling: Use creativity, language, and products to bring Disney experiences to life
- Lead scripted and non-scripted guest engagements (individual and group formats)
- Adhere to safety, security, and Loss Prevention policies
- Represent brand integrity through grooming, codes of conduct, and Conference policies
- Participate in community events (Volunt’EARs) and corporate initiatives

Key Skills & Experience
- Passion for engaging guests across all age groups
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task while prioritising guest needs
- (Preferred but trainable) Retail/sales experience, visual merchandising awareness, or cash handling knowledge
- Flexibility to work varied shifts or event-driven assignments
- Commercial acumen (understanding scripts like talk-ups, go-withs, and basket-building)
- Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness in display areas and backrooms
- Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt tone to audience
- Professional appearance and presence
- Ability to learn about Disney’s offerings and brand values
