Job Description Caster Derby Full Time

Role Overview

Rolls-Royce has an opportunity for a Caster in the PCF Furnace Room. The role is responsible for the transformation of a ceramic mould into a cast product. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for the monitoring and operation of the casting furnaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and operation of casting furnaces
  • Working in a hot environment with physical activity including lifting, bending, twisting, and walking

Who We Are Looking For

  • Previous experience working in a casting environment is preferential but not essential
  • Full training will be given to successful candidates covering all elements of the role
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated individuals willing to work flexibly to support business requirements
  • A diligent person who understands the importance of HS&E procedural requirements and compliance
  • GCSE Maths and English grade C or above, or equivalent literacy and numeracy
  • High level of manual dexterity

Preferred Skills

  • Experience of working in the aerospace industry
  • Experience of working to technical instructions
  • Good organization skills, numerical, and reasoning skills

Depth of Experience

Whilst previous experience working in an aerospace component casting environment is preferential, it is not essential. Full training will be given to successful candidates covering all elements of the role.

Industry Experience

Experience of working in the aerospace industry is desirable but not essential.

Required Certification / Accreditation

  • GCSE Maths and English grade C or above, or equivalent literacy and numeracy
