The Role
We are looking for Academy Stewards to help safeguard/protect players and staff on Matchdays weekends and Training evenings at the Academy.
Job Purpose
The Academy Stewards will support the operations and safeguarding teams to create a safe, positive, and welcoming environment. Whilst also helping to maintain a smooth operation during Training and Matchdays. They lead by example, demonstrating our core Academy values of Respect, Development, and Resilience in every interaction.
With this being a casual role, the successful candidates will be expected to work at least 2 evening shifts between the hours of 17:30 and 20:15 and there will be shift availability on weekends between the hours of 9:00 and 14:00.

Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming Players, Parents, Staff, Visitors, and Opposition teams in a friendly professional manner.
- Open and secure Academy gates, entrances, and designated access points, pre, during, and post training evenings and fixtures.
- Monitoring access to the Academy facilities, only allowing authorised individuals to enter the Academy designated areas.
- Upholding the Academy’s safeguarding procedures by maintaining a safe environment, remaining vigilant, and reporting any welfare and/or safeguarding concerns straight away to the appropriate channels.
- Assist with the arrivals and departures of players and opposition, making sure players are collected safely by parents and authorised adults.
- Maintaining a visible presence around the Academy.
- Ensure the Academy Car Park is clear in case of an emergency.
- Promote a culture of Respect by modelling a professional behaviour and treating everyone with fairness, dignity, and courtesy.

Within this role, previous experience in stewarding or working within a sporting environment is desirable but not essential. Experience of safeguarding children, young people is highly valued alongside an understanding of creating a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all.
