Active Schools Coaches – North East Fife (Casual)

Contract Type: Casual
Salary: FC6 £16.92 per hour
Working Pattern: As and when required (hours between 8am–7pm).
Location: Various locations across North East Fife.

Job Details
Within the Fife Active Schools workforce, Active Schools Coaches will deliver high-quality sport and physical activity sessions across North-East Fife as part of:
- Extra-curricular clubs
- Parasport and Parasport Gold programmes
- Targeted physical activity initiatives

Work Location: Schools and community venues across Fife
The Role
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver sport and physical activity sessions in partnership with schools and community outlets.
- Engage with children (aged 5+), including those with additional support needs, fostering incl hunter and equitable access.
- Develop programs that align with national activity targets (e.g. Active Schools 2025).
- Collaborate with schools, communities, and council teams to expand participation.
- Adapt sessions to diverse needs, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in working with children/young people.
- Relevant qualification/experience in:
- Sport coaching or education
- Working with children who have additional support needs
- Certification preferred (e.g. Level 2 Sports Coaching, QCF Child Protection)
- Empathy, enthusiasm, and an ability to demonstrate a can-do attitude.
Additional Information
Before appointment, you must obtain:
- A Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership via Disclosure Scotland.
