Southcote Primary School, is looking for a Casual Assistant Caretaker to join our supportive site team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a school or college leaver who wants to gain valuable workplace experience, develop practical skills, and make a real difference every day.

No previous caretaker experience is required – we’ll provide training and support to help you succeed.

What will you do?

You will help keep our schools safe, welcoming, and well-maintained by:

  • Supporting the day-to-day running of our school sites
  • Helping with basic maintenance, decorating, and minor repairs
  • Assisting with setting up rooms and spaces for school activities
  • Carrying out simple health and safety checks
  • Helping to keep the school grounds tidy and attractive
  • Working alongside experienced staff who will support your development
