Based at Manchester City Academy, the casual Catering Assistant role plays an important part in delivering a professional and welcoming catering service for Academy staff and visitors. You will help keep our food service areas clean, well-presented and ready for use, while supporting high standards of service in a busy performance environment.

Within Manchester City Academy
Our catering team helps create a positive and reliable experience for players, staff and visitors every day. We work in a fast-paced environment where service, presentation and attention to detail all matter, and where everyone plays a part in supporting the wider Academy experience.
The Role
As Catering Assistant (Front of House), you will help prepare the refectory and Parents Lounge for breakfast, lunch and dinner service where required, making sure each area is ready to the expected standard. You will support the smooth running of the front-of-house operation and help create a welcoming environment for everyone who uses the Academy facilities.

- You will provide efficient and friendly service to customers, helping to meet their needs and ensuring food and drinks are served accurately and with care.
- The role also includes supporting first-class service at internal and external events, where consistency, presentation and professionalism are especially important.
- You will also help maintain health and safety standards, with particular attention to food safety and cleanliness. Working closely with the wider catering team, you will contribute to an organised, dependable service that reflects the high standards of Manchester City Academy.
What You’ll Bring
- ⚽ Proven experience in a catering or hospitality environment.
- ⚽ Excellent communication skills and strong customer care skills.
- ⚽ Ability to work under your own initiative and as part of a team.
- ⚽ A professional, friendly and efficient approach to service.
- ⚽ Good attention to detail when preparing, presenting and maintaining food service areas.
- ⚽ A good understanding of best practice when handling or storing food, with relevant food safety knowledge or certificates desirable.
