Based in Manchester, this casual Chef de Partie role gives you the chance to support the day-to-day delivery of high-quality food for Manchester City Academy. You will help prepare meals that support player health, performance and recovery, while working in a professional kitchen environment that values consistency, teamwork and excellent service.

Within Manchester City Academy, our catering team plays an important part in supporting performance across the environment. We deliver nutritious, well-presented food in a fast-paced setting, working closely with colleagues to make sure players and staff receive a reliable and high-quality service every day.

The Role

As Chef de Partie, you will play a hands-on role in the preparation and presentation of food that supports the nutritional needs of the Academy environment. Working to agreed menus and standards, you will help deliver meals that are consistent, appealing and aligned to performance goals.

You will support menu development, kitchen organisation and day-to-day service, while helping to maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety and stock control. The role also includes completing relevant paperwork, supporting allergen logging and contributing to safe and efficient kitchen operations.

This is a role for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, takes pride in quality and is comfortable adapting to the needs of a busy sporting environment. You will work closely with the Head Chef, Nutritionist and wider team to help create a service that is dependable, professional and focused on the needs of the people we support.

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in a hospitality or food service environment, ideally in a setting where quality and consistency matter.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a calm and professional approach.
  • Ability to prepare and present food to a high standard, including working to nutritional requirements and agreed menus.
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and HACCP practices, with a relevant Level 3 qualification or willingness to work to that standard.
  • Experience supporting stock control, ordering and kitchen organisation, with attention to waste reduction and cost awareness.
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, with the flexibility to respond positively to changing needs.
