About the Company
South West Norse is a successful commercial service partnership between Norse Group and Devon County Council, delivering expertise across cleaning, catering, and facilities management disciplines.
The Opportunity
We currently have a great opportunity for a Cleaner to join our support teams based in Plymouth, Sherford, Torbay, and more on a Casual basis.
The Role
Working both independently and within a close team, you will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day routine and ad-hoc cleaning services as defined by the Cleaning Supervisor, ensuring that the necessary standards are met and operating in line with Client and Norse Policies and Procedures.
Whilst maintaining hygiene levels is an important part of site safety across all communal areas, this consumer-facing role will require you to deliver a high standard of customer service to the clients across the facility.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
