Swimming Teacher
Our Swimming Teacher is a key team member for the Aquatics & Sport Systems team, and associated areas of Cardiff Met Sport. They assist with the delivery of the Learn to Swim & School Swimming programmes and ensure that the needs of participants are met.
Learn To Swim
Our programmes run on the following days & times:
- Tuesdays 16:00 - 18:00
- Thursdays 17:00 - 20:00
- Saturdays 09:00 - 12:00
School Swimming
- Monday - Fridays 10:00 - 12:00
You’ll Lead The Way By
- Experience being a lead swimming teacher in a school, club, or recreation environment.
- Planning and delivering progressive lesson plans.
- Experience communicating with parents or guardians.
- Experience of assessing, monitoring, and recording swimmer’s progress through a formal assessment method.
What You’ll Bring
You’ll use your previous experience of teaching & working within an aquatic environment and understanding of the importance of customer care to provide an outstanding service to our swimming participants. Your knowledge of industry standards and national governing body policies will ensure that our Aquatics programmes are both safe and of the highest standards.

Additionally You’ll Have
- Level 2 Qualification in Teaching Aquatics: ASA Level 2 Teaching Aquatics, SEQ Level 2 Swimming Teaching, STA Level 2 Certificate in Teaching Swimming.
- Superb team working skills, able to work effectively as part of a team to deliver the best outcomes for participants.
- Experience working with customers and parents.
