Casual Duty Supervisor

East Staffordshire Borough Council,

Grade 3, SCP 3 – fixed at £13.47 per hour

An excellent opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of civic events, providing professional supervision, high-quality customer service and a positive experience for all users of the Town Hall Function Suite.

About the Role

We have some fantastic opportunities available to work within East Staffordshire Borough Council as a casual Duty Supervisor in the Civic Function Suite at the Town Hall. We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team supporting the delivery of a wide range of events at the Town Hall.

In this role you will be expected to provide evening and weekend event supervision on a rota basis with other team members including serving alcoholic beverages from the bar, cash handling and providing excellent customer service to hirers of the Town Hall Function Suite.

Please note that the supervisory aspect of this role relates to overseeing events not staff supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Ideal Candidate

Ideally, you’ll bring experience of effective customer care management, the ability to deal with competing demands and be able to work in a team. We’re looking for someone with a flexible and adaptable attitude who can be calm under pressure.

Requirements

  • Ability to work unsocial hours (evenings and weekends)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift and move equipment if required

Job Details

This is a casual role with hours that vary depending on the number of events each month. Please note that there is no guarantee of a set number of shifts.

The appointment will be subject to a Basic Level Disclosure & Barring Service check.
