Casual General Kitchen Assistant Grade 2 – Various Schools
Term-time only | £12.85 per hour | Monday to Friday (9:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
About Us
Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s Catering Services prides itself on delivering exceptional school meal services. Our skilled teams excel at creating nutritious, seasonally inspired meals to support healthier lifestyles for young people.
About the Role
We require a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to assist across multiple schools.
Key responsibilities include:
- Food preparation and serving in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Washing up and cleaning duties
- Following strict food safety and hygiene protocols
- Adhering to timed schedules and workflow demands
- Operating term-time only (Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
Requirements
Desired Skills & Attitudes:
- Dedication and reliability – Consistency is crucial in a school meal service
- Strong communication – Clear interactions with colleagues and team members
- Basic cooking/food handling skills – Prepared to learn and develop
- Compliance with protocols – Ability to follow written/verbal instructions
- Food safety awareness – Or the willingness to obtain a Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (a requirement for successful candidates)
