Position Summary

As a Casual Host/ess at the Booking Office 1869, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm welcome and ensuring an exceptional arrival experience. You will manage reservations, coordinate seating arrangements, and support the restaurant team in delivering outstanding service. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic hospitality professional who enjoys interacting with guests and thrives in a fast-paced luxury dining environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a warm, professional, and engaging welcome to all guests, creating a positive first impression of the restaurant.
  • Manage reservations, guest arrivals, and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize the guest experience and restaurant operations.
  • Coordinate guest flow and waiting lists, ensuring effective communication with both guests and the restaurant team.
  • Provide guests with information about menus, promotions, and restaurant facilities, demonstrating strong product knowledge.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest enquiries, requests, and feedback.
  • Maintain high standards of presentation and cleanliness within the host stand, reception area, and guest-facing spaces.
  • Support the restaurant team in delivering exceptional service and achieving guest satisfaction targets.
  • Assist with promotional activities, special events, and seasonal initiatives as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, health and safety procedures, and brand standards.
  • Build positive relationships with guests and colleagues, contributing to a welcoming and collaborative working environment.
  • Work closely with the restaurant and wider hotel teams to ensure a seamless and memorable guest journey.
