About the Role
The Copthorne Hotel Manchester is seeking a Casual Maintenance Assistant to join a busy team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the delivery, assembly, and installation of new bedroom furniture
- Support furniture replacement and refurbishment projects across the hotel
- Move, position, and install furniture safely and efficiently in guest bedrooms and other areas
- Carry out minor repairs and adjustments to furniture as required
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Work closely with Housekeeping and Maintenance teams to minimise disruption
- Report any issues, defects, or project delays to the Maintenance Manager
- Comply with all Health & Safety policies and procedures
- Provide general maintenance support for furniture installation projects as needed

Requirements
- Positive ‘can-do’ attitude
- Experience in general property maintenance, including electrical work (hotel maintenance experience is advantageous)
- Flexibility to work on a rota basis, including weekends
- Knowledge of Health & Safety at Work regulations
- Ability to work both as part of a team and independently
- Strong problem-solving skills and quick responsiveness

The Copthorne Hotel Manchester is located on the scenic Salford Quays waterfront, near MediaCityUK. It offers:
- Modern guest rooms (Standard, Club, or Suite)
- Clippers Brasserie with traditional dining and waterfront views
- Clippers Bar serving hearty meals and drinks
About Millennium Hotels & Resorts

Contract & Performance Period
This is a fixed-term casual agreement concluding on 31st December 2026.
