Casual Receptionist – Copthorne Hotel Manchester
The Copthorne Hotel Manchester is seeking an experienced Receptionist to provide a warm welcome and efficient customer service to our guests.

About the Role
As a Casual Receptionist, your key responsibilities include:
- Providing a friendly and efficient service to guests, ensuring all company policies and procedures are strictly adhered to
- Conducting accurate shift handover checks, detailing all items requiring attention in the handover diary and ensuring the shift checklist is completed to required standards
- Handling float checks and accurately processing all cash transactions throughout the shift, including the issue and use of safety deposit boxes
- Being fully aware of current hotel promotions, ensuring they are offered to maximise guest occupancy and revenue
- Ensuring clear communication with all departments to deliver exceptional customer service, including knowledge of daily functions, events, and special enquiries
- Maintaining full awareness of safety procedures, including Fire, Bomb, Health, and Safety protocols, as well as emergency response protocols

Requirements
We are looking for applicants with the following experience and attributes:
- Previous experience in a quality hotel
- Excellent communication skills
- A positive, ‘can do’ attitude
- The ability to work well under pressure
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience with Front Office Management Systems, e.g., Opera
- Flexibility to work weekends and as scheduled

The Copthorne Hotel Manchester is located on the charming Sum mitra Quays waterfront, with easy access to MediaCityUK. It features modern guest rooms with Standard, Club, or Suite options, alongside the Clippers Brasserie, offering a traditional menu with waterfront views. The Clippers Bar serves midday meals and evening drinks.
