Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Casual Support Worker Role

The support workers role is to supervise and support the children and young people during activities.

Staff are also responsible for assisting with social interactions between members where needed. This might include:

  • Explaining the rules of games
  • Helping someone understand the feelings of another member

Staff should encourage independence and peer on peer support where possible.

It is perfectly acceptable to observe activities without joining in or talking to the members if this helps encourage the above.

Staff should make an effort to help members understand what happened if things go wrong rather than reprimand them.

Being able to manage challenging behaviour calmly and appropriately is essential. This might mean:

  • Removing other children out of the way of an upset member
  • Seeking assistance from other staff
  • Calming and supporting an upset person

We do not use physical intervention in youth group and if a staff member feels unsafe they are encouraged to move somewhere where they feel more secure.
