Our Kiddi Caru Day Nursery in Whiteley, Fareham is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Casual Worker to join our team. You will play a key role in caring for, supporting and inspiring our children, encouraging curiosity and helping them thrive every day.

About Our Nursery
Kiddi Caru Day Nursery and Preschool is a purpose-built, bright, and airy environment, featuring a warm reception area to welcome you. Our caring and committed team is eager to nurture each child’s unique needs, ensuring they flourish and achieve their highest potential as they embark on their early learning journey.
Large secure garden with separate baby, toddler and preschool areas plus covered outdoor learning space. Our spacious garden features a delightful mud kitchen, an enchanting woodland area for exploration, and various cosy spots that our team customises according to the children's interests, including a lovely pergola. We promote exploration and active play, which greatly helps in boosting their confidence. Additionally, our flourishing garden is an integral part of our Sow and Grow and Make and Bake programmes. These initiatives aim to instil the values of sustainability and healthy eating in the children, encouraging them to engage with nature and understand its importance.

Location and Travel
We are situated in the lovely Whiteley Community Centre, on Gull Coppice, conveniently close to the primary school. You can easily find us near the M27 junction. For those using public transport, there are bus stops just a short walk away on Yew Tree Drive. If you're travelling by train, we're just a 10-minute walk from Swanwick Station. For those driving, there’s a parking lot available right outside our entrance, but please remember that we are located on a one-way street.
At our setting, we engage closely with the Gull Coppice cul de sac community to provide high-quality education and expose children to a variety of topics. We've recently partnered with Embracing Age Hampshire to foster intergenerational connections by creating cards and visiting the residents at Humble Heights Care Home.
Additionally, we often take walks in our beautifully enriched natural surroundings, allowing children to connect with nature and explore the wonderful world around them, enhancing their learning experiences.
What will you be doing
- Promote high standards of quality within the nursery
- Support and supervise playroom staff with their day-to-day duties
- Deploy staff appropriately to ensure that the required standards are delivered and maintained within the rooms
- Ensure the effective implementation of the nursery keycarer procedures and allocate children to keycarers appropriately
- Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Provide professional, relevant feedback to parents/carers about their child
- Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers
- Develop open and positive working relationships with staff
- Ensure that all staff develop and maintain friendly, professional relationships with parents and carers
