Our Elan Preschool in Haywards Heath is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Assistant to join our team.

You will play a key role in caring for, supporting and inspiring our children, encouraging curiosity and helping them thrive every day.

About Our Nursery

Our Preschool was rated Good by Ofsted and is a beautiful converted home with two bright, spacious rooms for children aged 2–5.

Children enjoy a large, secure garden with slides, climbing frames, a mud kitchen, and water play, with free-flow access between indoors and outdoors. Weekly yoga sessions and regular sports activities support physical development and wellbeing.

Location and Travel

Parking available 2 minute walk away at Clair Hall. We are also across the road from the train station and many local bus links

What Will You Be Doing

  • Provide a positive practice role model to ensure that Grandir UK values are maintained
  • Ensure that equality of access and opportunity is afforded to all staff, parents and children
  • Supervise and support children at all times
  • Contribute to maintaining an attractive and welcoming environment
  • Prepare and supervise activities under the guidance of Level 3 qualified Practitioners
  • Read, understand and implement all company policies, procedures and operational practices
  • Ensure that any changes to policies, procedures and operational practices are adhered to within the required timescale
  • Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation stage
  • Notify your line manager of any concerns or issues regarding company policies, procedures and operational practices
  • Maintain a positive attitude at all times with children, parents, visitors and work colleagues
  • Ensure confidentiality, where appropriate, is maintained
  • Attend regular staff meetings, planning meetings and undertake training as required
