Nursery Assistant

Location: Harpenden

Role Overview

We’re seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our child-focused team in Harpenden. You’ll play a pivotal role in supporting, inspiring and encouraging our children, helping them thrive every day while working within a supportive, homely environment.

Who You Are

You’re a compassionate, resilient individual with a passion for early years education. While formal qualifications are advantageous (e.g., Childcare Level 2-3), your empathy, teamwork and flexibility are what matter most.



Key Responsibilities

You’ll support our team in delivering outstanding care, fostering curiosity and creativity through:

  • Supervising and caring for children at all times
  • Preparing and assisting with child-led activities (under the guidance of qualified staff)
  • Maintaining a safe, engaging and inclusive environment
  • Adhering to safeguarding policies and operational procedures
  • Building positive relationships with families, peers and colleagues
  • Participating in staff meetings, training and development sessions
