Position Overview

  • Role: Early Years Assistant
  • Location: Sowton, Exeter
  • Salary: £12.71 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications, with regular pay reviews)
  • Contract Type: Casual

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a positive practice role model for Grandir UK values, ensuring they are upheld for staff, parents, and children
  • Ensure equality of access and opportunity for all parties
  • Supervise and support children at all times, fostering a safe, thriving environment
  • Maintain an attractive, welcoming nursery space
  • Prepares and supervises child-led activities under the guidance of Level 3 team members
  • Read, understand, and implement company policies, procedures, and operational practices
  • Ensure all child provisions align with Early Years Foundation Stage guidelines
  • Report concerns related to policies and operational practices to your line manager
  • Maintain a positive, confidential attitude towards all communications
  • Attend meetings and undertake professional development training as required
