Are you looking for a practical, energetic role where no two days are the same? As a Casual Workshop Assistant, you’ll support our Build Team with the preparation, movement, and handling of materials used on large‑scale projects.
This is a developmental role, ideal for someone keen to learn, gain hands‑on experience, and work as part of a busy workshop environment. For those who show enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to learn, there may be opportunities to move into longer‑term or permanent roles in the future.

What You’ll Do
- Move blocks, accessories, materials, and equipment safely around the workshop
- Assist with lifting, carrying, and general workshop tasks
- Support carpentry and painting teams with preparation work (e.g. paint prep, basic assistance)
- Keep work areas tidy and organised
- Load and unload vehicles, receive deliveries, and assist with general logistics tasks
- Attend training, daily toolbox talks, and team meetings and follow guidance from workshop supervisors
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Physically fit (manual handling required)
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Good written and spoken English
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Friendly, positive, and reliable attitude

- Rough Terrain Forklift (RTITB)
- Telehandler (RTITB)
- First Aid at Work (or higher)
Hours & Scheduling
- Work may be allocated during daytime, evenings, weekends, and peak periods.
- Hours allocated will depend on the business needs and individual availability
- Shifts are scheduled in advance where possible
