Casualty Underwriter

We are currently working with a global insurer to recruit a Casualty Underwriter to join their growing team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Underwrite new business and renewals within delegated authority
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients
  • Manage a profitable portfolio in line with business plans and underwriting guidelines
  • Contribute to portfolio management and business development
  • Work closely with colleagues across underwriting, claims, and actuarial teams

Experience required:

  • Experience underwriting Casualty business
  • Strong technical knowledge across areas such as Employers' Liability, Public Liability, and/or Products Liability
  • A proven track record of managing and developing broker relationships
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills
  • The ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced underwriting environment
