About Pause Cat Cafe

Pause Cat Cafe in Bournemouth aims to improve lives by promoting kindness through animal welfare, ethical eating, volunteering, and community projects.

About the Role

Pause Cat Cafe is looking for cat lovers to join our cat care team. Our main priority at Pause is cat welfare, so volunteers provide and maintain a high standard of care and quality for all of our cats and visitors in a safe and happy environment. You will graciously offer care, enrichment, stability, and security to all our cats. Team members who have shifts during the cafe’s opening times also help with customer service and ensuring safe interaction between cats and visitors. All members of the team are expected to follow our mission of kindness to all humans and animals.

Shift Times

We are looking for kitty lovers who can commit to a weekly shift on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings.

Please note that initial trial shifts and training shifts for cat care must take place either 9am-12pm or 5:30pm-8:30pm so that you can gain full experience of the feeding and cleaning routine. Please also be aware that reliability and attendance are crucial as the safety of our kitties depends on it.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
