Cat Sitter
Mind my Mog – Cat Sitter (Part-Time & Self-Employed)
Company Description
Mind my Mog provides tailored cat sitting visits to customers’ houses in and around Woodley (RG5). We pride ourselves on taking cat sitting seriously and giving customers peace of mind, knowing their beloved cats are in safe and caring hands while their homes remain secure and well looked after.
Role Description
The Cat Sitter is a part-time, weekend-only role (current hours: 4pm Friday to 9am Sunday) covering 7am–9am and 4pm–7pm. Work is not guaranteed, and sitters will operate as self-employed contractors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing daily cat care, including feeding, fresh water provision, litter box cleaning, and basic grooming as required.
- Monitoring cat health and behaviour, reporting concerns promptly, and ensuring a safe, clean, and calm environment.
- Offering companionship, playtime, and enrichment activities to support feline well-being.
- Communicating with colleagues (and clients when necessary) about routines, preferences, and any changes in the cats’ condition.

Qualities
Must demonstrate:
- Strong cat care skills, with a genuine passion for feline welfare.
- A natural talent for trust-building with cats.
- Effective communication to share updates and collaborate with the care team.
- Ability to observe and respond to behavioural changes, including basic cat health and safety knowledge.
- Reliability, punctuality, and meticulous attention to care routines and procedures.
- Capacity to work independently across Woodley and surrounding areas within customers’ homes.
- Basic record-keeping skills and commitment to company policies and training.

Requirements
- Drive a personally owned, insured vehicle (insurance must cover business travel).
- Clear DBS check (evidence required for successful candidates).
- Regular availability for weekend{split shifts} from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning (early mornings and late afternoons/evenings).
- Willingness to work on an adhoc basis based on booking availability.
