About the Role
A senior position within a specialist Serious Injury practice at Minster Law, a personal injury law firm with an established and expanding Serious Injury practice operating across England and Wales. We act exclusively for claimants in complex, high-value cases, renowned for our technical depth, disciplined approach to case strategy, and sustained focus on long-term client outcomes.
This Catastrophic Injury Team Leader role is tailored for experienced Serious Injury solicitors or equivalent operating at a senior level. Our structure supports high-quality Serious Injury work with team sizes designed to allow sustained senior focus on case complexity. This includes sufficient time and autonomy to effectively collaborate with clients, families, and specialist teams throughout the life of the claim.
We operate under a multi-disciplinary model, integrating legal expertise with rehabilitation planning, clinical input, and professional guidance to manage complex Serious Injury claims. Team Leads are trusted to lead case strategy, exercise professional judgement, and drive outcomes within a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
As the Catastrophic Injury Team Leader, you will:
- Lead a team of Associates handling complex Serious Injury claims, predominantly RTA-based, typically achieving outcomes over £3m.
- Take end-to-end responsibility for case strategy, including:
- Liability
- Quantum
- Rehabilitation planning
- Settlement management
- Provide guidance, oversight, and peer support to the team, ensuring superior outcomes for clients and the business.
- Foster a culture of integrity, respecting diverse colleague opinions and promoting collaboration.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
To excel in this demanding role, you must demonstrate:
- Qualified solicitor or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEX) with the right to litigate, and 8+ years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE).
- Proven senior fee-earner track record in Serious Injury matters, consistently achieving outcomes exceeding £3m.
- A consistent record of high-quality client care, ensuring ethical and effective representation.
- Experience supporting, mentoring, or developing colleagues, including:
- Conducting 1-2-1s
- Delivering personal development plans
- Conducting performance reviews at a senior level
- Extensive professional credibility to represent the firm externally within the Serious Injury sector.
