Our client is a highly regarded national law firm with a market-leading reputation in defendant insurance litigation. The firm acts for a broad range of insurer and corporate clients and is recognised for its expertise in handling complex, high-value catastrophic injury claims. Due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Associate to join its specialist Catastrophic Injury team.
Your new role
You will join a nationally recognised team handling some of the most complex and high-profile catastrophic injury cases in the UK. Working alongside leading practitioners in the field, you will manage a caseload of high-value motor, employer's liability and public liability claims involving life-changing injuries, catastrophic loss and sensitive circumstances.
The role offers responsibility for significant cases from inception through to resolution, often involving complex liability, causation and quantum issues, substantial future loss claims and matters attracting media attention.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing a caseload of complex catastrophic injury matters.
- Handling high-value motor, employer's liability and public liability claims on behalf of insurer clients.
- Advising on liability, causation, quantum and litigation strategy.
- Managing claims involving serious and life-changing injuries.
- Working closely with insurers, experts, counsel and other stakeholders.
- Supporting business development and strengthening client relationships.
- Supervising and mentoring junior team members where appropriate.
- Contributing to the continued growth and success of the practice.

What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with significant experience handling defendant catastrophic injury claims.
- Significant experience within catastrophic injury litigation.
- Strong background in motor, employer's liability and/or public liability claims.
- Extensive experience managing high-value and complex injury matters.
- In-depth understanding of future losses and quantum assessment.
- Excellent technical, drafting and analytical skills.
- Strong client management and stakeholder engagement experience.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
