Category Executive - Kiddylicious

About the Role

Are you a passionate Category Executive who wants a chance to develop a career in a fast growing business?

This is a great opportunity for someone who is maybe starting their category career, or is in an analytical role currently, who wants to develop their career in the Category Management function.

You’ll be an analytical engine of the business, responsible for transforming data into clear, actionable insight that drives commercial and marketing decisions. This role is deeply embedded in internal reporting, Excel-based analysis, and the development of tools and processes that elevate category understanding across the organisation.

You will own the numbers, the narrative, and the reporting infrastructure that enables teams to make smarter, faster decisions.

You’ll work closely with Commercial Managers for customer sell-ins, and fuel the discussions through your analysis and tool development.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Internal Category Reporting & Insight Leadership

    • Own monthly category reporting, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and timely delivery to internal/external stakeholders.
    • Lead deep-dive analysis across range, distribution, pricing, promotions, events, and NPD/EPD performance.
    • Act as the internal category expert, providing a consistent, insight-driven point of view that shapes commercial and marketing strategy.
  2. Excel-Driven Analysis & Decision Support

    • Develop and maintain complex Excel tools that sit behind reporting suites, with the ability to edit, optimise, and build new tools from scratch.
    • Translate raw data into clear, actionable insights that influence decision-making across commercial, marketing, and supply teams.
    • Ensure data integrity and continuously improve analytical processes to enhance speed and accuracy.
    • Refresh and evolve monthly reporting packs, dashboards, and templates to ensure they remain best-in-class.
    • Champion a culture of insight by ensuring reporting is not just produced, but understood, adopted, and actioned across the organisation.
  3. Customer Collaboration

    • Support customer-facing conversations with our tactical accounts where deep category insight is required.
    • Maintain a strong understanding of customer performance, enabling your customers to have the clarity to make category lead decisions.

About You

Alongside living our TOP values, we are looking for someone who:

  • Experienced at data analysis – not just churning the numbers but telling the story behind them too. We want someone who is a data wizard and, whilst not knowing the answer, will know how to get to it.
  • Excellent communication skills, i.e. good on their feet, and delivers with passion.
  • Ability to build and develop great relationships.
  • Outcome-focused, results-driven.
  • Able to prioritise quickly in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Happy to roll up one's sleeves and get stuck in – this is a small team and we need people who are happy to do everything, from churning the data to developing the best way to do things to set ourselves up for future growth.

Other essential requirements for this Category Executive role:

  • Right-To-Work within the UK (without sponsorship).
  • Minimum education to Bachelor’s Degree level.
  • Strong Excel skills, i.e., formulas, Power BI competency, and pivot table charting etc.
  • Previous experience of working in FMCG is preferred but not essential.
  • Category Management or Insights agency side is a plus.
  • Experience using data providers like Nielsen, iRi, Kantar, Dunnhumby, or Sainsbury’s Insights platform is a plus.
