The Recipe (About the Role)

In this role, you will deliver sourcing activity across indirect spend categories, combining commercial insight, supplier relationship management and data to create value for the business. Working within a fast-paced FMCG environment, you will help category strategies, manage supplier performance and own continuous improvement, while leveraging digital procurement and AI-enabled tools to enhance efficiency, compliance and business outcomes.

  • Deliver Request for Information, Request for Proposal and Request for Quotation (RFx) processes and tenders, ensuring competitive, compliant and timely outcomes
  • Help category strategies through data insights and effective execution of sourcing activities
  • Draft, review and negotiate straightforward commercial documents in line with procurement policy
  • Engage stakeholders to gather requirements, question assumptions and align sourcing issues to business needs
  • Manage supplier communications, including bids, clarifications and timelines
  • Maintain governance, ensuring accurate documentation, approvals and audit readiness
  • Track category performance, including total cost of ownership, savings, compliance and improvement activity
  • Monitor and manage supplier performance using scorecards, action tracking and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) practices
  • Build supplier relationships, helping performance, issue resolution and continuous improvement
  • Maintain accurate supplier and contract data, including pricing and supporting records
  • Provide data, insight and operational help to enable efficient delivery of category priorities
  • Use data to deliver market insights, supplier comparisons and commercial recommendations
  • Help the adoption of artificial intelligence-enabled procurement tools to improve information, automation and risk identification
  • Contribute to demand planning by presenting insights that look at cost and complexity
  • Identify and own continuous improvement across processes, sourcing and supplier engagement
  • Work with supplier-led innovation and contribute to risk management, supply continuity and resilience

The Ingredients (What we need from you)

Key Know How:

  • Experience in procurement, sourcing, or commercial operations, ideally within fast-paced environments such as fast-moving consumer goods
  • Working knowledge of request for proposal, request for quotation, and request for information processes, alongside contract fundamentals and supplier management
  • Insight capability, with confidence interpreting data and generating actionable insights
  • Effective negotiation skills for low to medium complexity commercial documents
  • Ability to engage stakeholders and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, procurement systems, and data analysis tools
