Category Executive
Our client is an ambitious and fast-growing premium food business with a strong presence in the UK retail market. They are looking to appoint a commercially focused Category Executive to join their team in Central London, supporting the Head of Sales and playing a key role in driving commercial performance across major retail accounts.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills and a passion for FMCG to join a growing business where they can make a genuine impact and develop their career.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for analysing sales performance, identifying trends and delivering actionable insights that support commercial decision-making. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, helping to identify opportunities for growth, improve category performance and support the execution of key commercial initiatives.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working with data but also wants exposure to the wider commercial side of an FMCG business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
