Senior Category Management Consultant – Fixed Term Contract (12 Months)

We’re seeking a Senior Category Management Consultant who thrives on challenges and is committed to pushing their career boundaries. This 12-month Fixed Term Contract (FTC) role offers an opportunity to expand dunnhumby’s Category Management team, work alongside a market-leading business, and explore groundbreaking opportunities with global retailers.
About the Role
Joining our Category Management team, you’ll collaborate with world-class professionals to prioritise customers in crucial Space, Range and Merchandising (SRM) decisions for Tesco. Your work will involve:

- Partnering closely with Tesco’s stakeholders to identify and execute strategic opportunities.
- Collaborating internally with Applied Data Scientists to deliver high-impact projects.
- Focusing on optimising ranges and planograms across multiple divisions, including Tesco Express, ROI (Republic of Ireland), and Central Europe.
- Shifting from day-to-day range recommendations to a strategic influence role, guiding senior executives on leveraging dunnhumby’s tools and capabilities to unlock value.
Additionally, you will act as a bridging force between Tesco and dunnhumby’s various teams, fostering a deep understanding of market dynamics, and scaling successful strategies to drive broader impact.
What We Expect From You
- Strong experience in leading complex, stakeholder-driven projects that tackle challenging problems.
- Proven proficiency in client relationship management, influencing senior stakeholders, and embedding customer-centric solutions in client decision-making.
- Experience in FMCG, retail, consulting, or supplier-side roles.
- Commercial acumen to uncover mutually beneficial opportunities for both clients and dunnhumby.
- Ability to analyse data critically, distil valuable insights, and present them clearly to stakeholders.
- Experience in Category Management is desirable but not essential.
- Advanced Excel skills are an advantage but not required.
