Category Manager – Packaging Department: Procurement Location: Uxbridge Travel: Up to 60% across Europe
We’re hiring a Category Manager – Packaging to lead sourcing strategies for key packaging categories across our 42 European sites. This strategic role focuses on delivering cost savings, sustainability initiatives, supplier performance, and long-term category value in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute European category sourcing strategies
- Lead supplier negotiations, contract management, and tendering activities
- Drive cost savings, value creation, and supply continuity
- Monitor market trends, raw material movements, and category risks
- Run cross-functional projects to advance innovation and sustainability
- Build strong stakeholder relationships across:
- Procurement, R&D, Operations, Supply Chain & Finance
- Track category performance, savings delivery, and budget impact

- Proven procurement experience within FMCG or fast-paced manufacturing
- Strong category management, negotiation, and supplier management skills
- Track record of delivering measurable cost savings and strategic sourcing programs
- Robust commercial analysis, problem-solving, and stakeholder management ability
- Skill to influence senior leaders and lead cross-functional cross-organisational collaboration
- Willingness for frequent travel across Europe
