Category Manager – IT Procurement
The successful candidate will lead end-to-end procurement activity, develop strategic supplier relationships, and champion procurement as a trusted business partner across the organisation.
The role is ideal for IT procurement professionals who excel in fast-paced environments where complex sourcing projects and continuous improvement are key.

Role & Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end procurement activity for the IT category, with additional oversight of wider indirect spend.
- Develop sourcing strategies, manage competitive tender processes and negotiate commercial terms.
- Oversee contract award and implementation.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and procurement synergies across the business.
- Build and manage strategic supplier relationships, including:
- Implementing supplier development initiatives.
- Resolving contractual or performance issues.
- Support contract lifecycle management to ensure negotiated value is delivered and maintained.
- Maintain procurement systems, processes, and governance in alignment with internal policies and best practice.

Experience & Requirements
Essential
- Proven procurement experience in IT and indirect categories with strong category management knowledge.
- Strong commercial and contractual expertise, including:
- Drafting, negotiating, and managing complex supplier agreements.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills.
- Experience in delivering supplier performance improvements and managing commercial risk.
- Ability to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
Desirable
- Degree qualification or CIPS membership.
