Category Manager – Professional Services Procurement

Leeds (3 Days Office / 2 Days WFH) | £60,000–£65,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious procurement professional to join the procurement team of one of the UK's most recognisable retail brands and take ownership of a broad Professional Services procurement portfolio.

Operating within a fast-paced, commercially driven environment, procurement plays a key role in supporting business strategy and delivering value across the organisation. This is a business where procurement is taken seriously, stakeholders are engaged and good ideas can quickly become reality.

The successful candidate will join a growing team and gain exposure to senior stakeholders while developing expertise across a diverse range of Professional Services categories.

The role

You will lead sourcing and category management activity across a range of Professional Services spend areas, including: Professional Services, Consultancy Services, HR & Recruitment Services, Legal Services, Marketing & Creative Services, Audit & Tax Services, Learning & Development, Business Support Services

You will partner with stakeholders to develop procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships and deliver commercial value through sourcing and negotiation activity.

Ideal background

  • Strong procurement or category management experience
  • Exposure to Professional Services procurement highly desirable
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Commercially minded with strong sourcing and negotiation capability
  • Ambitious individual looking to broaden experience and progress within procurement
