About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Category Marketing Manager to join our Category & Insight team based in Uxbridge.

This role is responsible for driving category growth across key retail customers by identifying opportunities, building trusted customer relationships, and translating shopper, consumer, and market insights into meaningful commercial action. Acting as the voice of the consumer and customer within Pilgrim's Europe, you will help shape category strategies, influence decision-making, and deliver solutions that create sustainable growth for both our customers and our business.

As part of the Pilgrim's Europe way of working, this is an office-based role, supporting close collaboration with internal stakeholders and customer partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate data from multiple sources into clear insights, recommendations, and compelling customer presentations.
  • Build strong relationships with retail customers, becoming a trusted category partner.
  • Develop and deliver category growth plans, including category reviews, range optimisation, NPD recommendations, and in-store and online execution strategies.
  • Help define and embed long-term category growth strategies internally and externally.
  • Collaborate closely with Commercial, Marketing, Innovation, and Operations teams to ensure category thinking is central to decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities through shopper, consumer, market, and category analysis.
  • Create engaging category stories that influence customer decisions and support business growth.

About You

We're looking for a commercially minded and insight-driven category professional who enjoys turning data into action.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Category Management, Category Insight, or Shopper Marketing within FMCG.
  • Experience working with UK Grocery Multiple Retailers.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work across multiple data sources.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong commercial awareness and customer focus.
  • Curious mindset with a passion for understanding shopper and consumer behaviour.

Desirable

  • Experience within own-label category management.
  • Professional qualification in Category Management, Marketing, or Data Analytics (e.g. CIM).
