Catering Assistant – Farmfield Hospital

Are you passionate about food and looking for a rewarding opportunity to work within a healthcare setting helping some of the most vulnerable people in society?

Join Farmfield Hospital, a service for men with potential forensic backgrounds and enduring mental health illnesses such as personality disorder, substance misuse issues, and challenging behaviours. You will be working 37.5 hours per week as part of an established and dedicated kitchen team.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head Chef, your responsibilities will include supporting the chefs to prepare meals, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and assisting with deliveries. • Maintain storage procedures and stock rotation
  • Ensure proper cleaning and storage of areas, equipment, and furniture
  • As part of the catering team, guarantee that the kitchen and associated areas meet hygiene standards, aligning with company policies
  • Liaise with the wider team—including dietitians—to address dietary and planned meal requirements

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
