Catering Assistant
Part-Time Kitchen & Event Assistant – Variable Shifts
About the Role
📅 Working Hours: Variable shifts dependent on business needs – 8am–12.30pm and 3pm–7pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including peeling, chopping, trimming, and assembling sandwiches and salads.
- Ensure the kitchen area and equipment remain clean and well-maintained, including utensils, tableware, and catering stations.
- Assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries, keeping food and supply storage areas organised.
- Serve food to customers according to menu prepared by chefs. Act as a host/waiter in designated events when required.
- Manage and replenish vending services.
Requirements & Qualities
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Commercial kitchen experience (although not absolutely essential).
- Basic Catering & Hospitality certification (e.g., Food Handling) – not essential, but training can be provided.
- Proven time management and organisational skills, with experience working under pressure.

Essential Requirements
- Right to Work in the UK.
- Essential customer service skills.
- Ability to work extended shifts, physically standing for prolonged periods.
Desirable Additional Skills
- Level 2 Food Hygiene certification (training can be provided if required).
