Catering Assistant
Contract: Permanent
Type of Employment: Full Time
Hours: 20 Hours Per Week
Rate of Pay: £12.74 Per Hour
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday – Afternoons
Location: B&Q, Rutherford Drive, Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, England NN8 6XA

We're looking for a Catering Assistant who will deliver excellent service standards, while meeting SLA agreements and adhering to cleaning schedules.
Role Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain dining and service areas, including furniture, trolleys, and cleaning equipment.
- Serve food in correct portions and wash dishes, cutlery, and catering equipment.
- Clean all catering areas daily and follow health and safety standards.
- Handle cash collection, banking, and maintain records and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with customers, managers, and colleagues to deliver excellent service.

What We're Looking For
- Previous catering experience in a similar environment (desirable).
- Basic Food Hygiene and Health & Safety certificates (training provided if not held).
- Adequate numeracy, literacy, and communication skills.
- Passion for customer service and ability to work independently and in a team.
- Adaptable, detail-oriented, and confident with strong organisational and time management skills.
