Job Opportunity: Catering Assistant, Permanent Contract
Location: University of Chester, Exton Park
Contract: 30 hours per week on rota
Salary: University Scale OS2

The University of Chester is looking for a Catering Assistant to join our busy Catering Services team.
Our kitchens provide meals for students, staff, visitors, and conference guests all year round, and we pride ourselves on delivering excellent service and high standards. This is a great opportunity to be part of a supportive environment where your work really makes a difference.

What You’ll Do
As a Catering Assistant, you’ll play a key role in delivering outstanding service across our diverse catering outlets, each designed to meet the needs of students, staff, conference delegates, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the day-to-day provision of catering services.
- Supporting special functions and events with a high-class service.
- Working as part of a friendly, professional team.

What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a catering or kitchen environment is desirable.
- A Basic Food Hygiene Certificate is preferred (training provided if needed).
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
