Catering Assistant – Tadley Court School

About the Role

Tadley Court School is recruiting for a Catering Assistant to join our dedicated team.

We are seeking a passionate individual who can assist with food preparation, service, and maintenance of high hygiene standards in our commercial kitchen. As a school, we follow government requirements for healthy eating and contribute significantly to the wellbeing of our pupils.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the Chef with meal preparation, cooking, and serving
  • Maintain thorough cleaning of all food preparation and service areas
  • Adhere to Assured Safe Catering Policies and Procedures

This position offers a 25-hour contract (8:30 AM – 1:30 PM) per week, with flexibility for the right candidate.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation, cooking, and service of meals for pupils
  • Uphold strict food hygiene standards and comply with school policies
  • Ensure all kitchen areas remain clean, safe, and organised
  • Contribute to a family-friendly work environment with a focus on teamwork

Main Requirements

  • Essential: Experience in preparing and cooking meals in a professional kitchen environment
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
  • Safeguarding commitment: Willingness to undergo enhanced PVG/DBS checks and provide 2 references (covering the last 3 years, including roles with children or vulnerable adults)
