Catering Assistant - Bank

Care Home: Tees Grange

Location: Norton, Stockton-on-Tees, TS20 2PH

Contract Type: Zero-hour contract (bank) to cover holidays and absence

Rate: £14.24 per hour

Looking for a catering job with a difference? Join us as our new Catering Assistant at Tees Grange care home in Stockton-on-Tees.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll:

  • Assist the Chef to prepare and cook food for the people we support
  • Set dining tables
  • Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen
  • Ensure a positive dining experience for all residents

Responsibilities

You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality food while being an integral part of a caring team. Daily tasks include:

  • Assisting with basic food preparation
  • Cleaning and sanitising the kitchen, including washing up, cleaning freezers, and mopping floors
  • Cleaning and sanitising all tableware
  • Understanding residents’ dietary requirements to help the Chef develop suitable menus
  • Gathering feedback from residents to improve meals
  • Complying with all food hygiene standards
  • Working collaboratively as part of the wider Catering Team
  • Ensuring every meal is thoughtfully prepared and enjoyed
