About the Role
Lancashire County Council provides catering services to over 500 schools across Lancashire, serving over 60,000 school meals per day. We are looking for committed individuals to join our service.
You will work as part of a team on a fixed term contract until February 2027 at Layton Primary School, providing high-quality, healthy, balanced meals for school children.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the dining area for service, including moving and setting up furniture and putting away.
- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and serving of food and beverages.
- Clean all equipment and catering areas.
What We Are Looking For
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative.
- Good customer care skills.
- Previous catering and food preparation experience is essential.
- Attention to detail is essential.
Working Hours/Days
- Monday to Friday
- Fixed term contract until February 2027
- Term time only
- 4 cleaning days per year above contracted hours
Hours: 12.50 hours per week equalling 2.5hrs per day Monday to Friday over the lunchtime period. 11.30-2pm Monday to Friday.
