About the Role Lancashire County Council provides catering services to over 500 schools across Lancashire, serving over 60,000 school meals daily. We are seeking committed individuals to join our team at St James Primary, Haslingden, where you will contribute to delivering high-quality, healthy, and balanced meals for schoolchildren.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and tidy the dining area, repositioning furniture and ensuring the space is ready for use
- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals and drinks
- Clean all equipment and catering areas to maintain hygiene standards

What We Are Looking For
☑ Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team ☑ Capacity to work under pressure while using personal initiative ☑ Strong customer care skills with a focus on children ☑ Previous catering or food preparation experience is essential for this role
Working Arrangements
✅ Monday to Friday (term time only) ✅ 5 hours per week (variable depending on school meal demand) ✅ Flexible hours based on demand ✅ Start date: September (exact schedule confirmed upon offer)

📌 Open only to UK residents – this role is not eligible for international sponsorship. 🛠 This vacancy will be managed under requirements from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975.
