Key Details
Lancashire County Council provides catering services to over 500 schools across Lancashire, serving over 60,000 school meals per day. We are seeking committed individuals to join the team at Staining Primary School to prepare and serve high-quality, healthy, balanced meals for school children.

About the Role
Would you help deliver delicious meals to students every day at Staining Primary School? As a Catering Assistant, you will be a key part of the team, ensuring smooth operation from preparation to service and clean-up.

- Prepare the dining area, including moving and setting up furniture, and ensuring areas are clean.
- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and serving of food and beverages, maintaining high standards.
- Clean all equipment and catering areas thoroughly.
Note: The responsibilities may vary slightly based on the work required.
What We Are Looking For
To be successful, you should:
- Excel as a team player, showing reliability and dedication.
- Work efficiently under pressure, using your own initiative when needed.
- Exhibit strong customer care skills, reflecting our commitment to quality service.
- Have essential previous experience in catering or food preparation—this is mandatory.
- Possess attention to detail, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately.
Working Arrangements
- Dates: Term-time only (Monday–Friday).
- Hours: 10 hours per week (2 hours per day, Monday to Friday during lunchtime, approx. 11:30am–1:30pm).
- Additional Details: 4 extra cleaning days per year above contracted hours.
