Catering Assistant – Berkshire Independent Hospital (Reading)
Part-Time, 14 Hours Per Week
Location: Berkshire Independent Hospital, Reading Reports to: Catering Supervisor
The Role
Ramsay Health Care Group is seeking an enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join its team at Berkshire Independent Hospital. As part of the support services team, you’ll deliver outstanding catering services to patients, staff, and visitors.
- Training will be provided—though some experience, particularly in fast-paced environments maintaining high standards, is beneficial.
- Works 7-hour shifts between 7am–6pm, covering weekdays and weekends (Monday to Saturday).
Key Responsibilities
- Process food and beverage orders for patients, staff, and visitors
- Assist in preparing and serving food while maintaining high health and hygiene standards
- Keep all catering areas clean to agreed standards
- Comply with food handling regulations
- Help with breakfast preparation and assist kitchen staff
Requirements
- A willingness to work collaboratively to achieve team goals
- To hold (or obtain) a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (training funded by the company if required)
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, approachable personality with attention to detail
