About the Role

As a Catering Assistant, you’ll play a crucial part in fostering a positive, inclusive team culture while ensuring our client feedback is consistently excellent. By preparing and serving top-quality meals, you’ll contribute directly to our mission: to feed, support, and inspire those in our communities.

Your Shift Pattern

  • Monday to Friday: Full-time (Day shifts)
  • Saturday & Sunday: Full-time (Day shifts)

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Service

  • Deliver consistently high-quality, delicious meals tailored to meet client preferences and nutritional needs, ensuring unmatched satisfaction.
  • Create eye-catching food displays and counter presentations that attract attention and drive positive client feedback.
  • Represent Compass Group with professionalism, reflecting our core values of compassion, integrity, and positivity in everything you do.

Operational & Hygiene Excellence

  • Handle all food handling and transactions with precision, operating cash registers and ensuring financial accuracy.
  • Maintain strict adherence to Food Handling & Food Safety regulations, ensuring all operations and storage meet industry standards.
  • Prioritise Health & Safety in every task, championing best practice in workplace hygiene and accident prevention.

  • Demonstrable experience in a hospitality, catering, or manufacturing environments (an asset, but glorious enthusiasm counts most!).
  • Knowledge of food preparation methods or hospital/retail service scenarios – though enthusiasm will always surprise us.
