Casual Catering Assistant

About the Role

You’ll form part of a dynamic team in the Lancaster & Morecambe area, helping to deliver nutritious, healthy, and balanced meals to school children. Your role focuses on smooth day-to-day operations to ensure mealtimes run efficiently and pleasantly, while supporting other team members.


Key Responsibilities

  • Setup & Serve:
    • Prepare dining areas for service, including moving furniture and tidying spaces
    • Assist with food and beverage preparation, cooking, and serving

What We’re Looking For

  • Independence: Use your initiative to ensure tasks run smoothly
  • Customer Care: A warm and friendly approach with attentive service for children and staff
  • Adaptability: Thrives under pressure and can respond well to the demands of the job
  • Nice to Have:
    • Any experience in catering, food preparation, hospitality or school meals is a bonus but not essential

Working Arrangements

  • Flexible Casual Hours: Available on an "as and when" basis, depending on urgent or shortfall needs
  • Cover Area: Lancaster & Morecambe, Lancashire

This role is covered by the [Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975]. As part of the recruitment process, successful candidates will be required to complete a DBS disclosure.
