Location: Yeovil, BA20 2YB
Hours of work: 40 (Monday – Friday)
Contract Type: Permanent
We are seeking a Catering Manager to oversee the strategic and day-to-day management of all food and beverage services across our client’s site in Yeovil.
This role is responsible for ensuring a high-quality, compliant, and engaging dining experience for colleagues while maintaining operational excellence.
Job Description
The successful candidate will:
- Manage a wide range of services, including staff restaurants, vending, hospitality, and events such as meetings and social functions.
- Work closely with vendors and stakeholders to drive performance, innovation, and alignment with sustainability and wellbeing objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all food service operations, including:
- Staff restaurants
- Cafés
- Vending
- Hospitality
- Event catering
- Ensure seamless service delivery through third-party vendors and internal teams.
- Monitor KPIs, SLAs, and customer satisfaction metrics to maintain high service standards.
- Act as the primary liaison between ISS and the client.
- Lead vendor performance reviews and ensure contractual compliance.
- Ensure full compliance with UK food safety regulations, including:
- HACCP
- Environmental Health Officer (EHO) standards
- Conduct audits, risk assessments, and manage:
- Incident reporting
- Allergen controls
- Manage budgets, cost control, and forecasting, while identifying:
- Cost-saving opportunities
- Revenue-generating opportunities

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Essential:
- Proven experience in managing food operations within:
- Large corporate
- Hospitality
- Campus environments
- Strong knowledge of food safety legislation and quality assurance systems, such as:
- HACCP
- ISO 22000
- Excellent stakeholder management and vendor negotiation skills
- Financial acumen with experience managing:
- Large budgets
- Contracts
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
- Passion for sustainability, innovation, and enhancing customer experience
